There is a well-loved hymn whose refrain sums up Collenbrook’s approach to mission:
Here I am Lord,
Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.
One place where the Lord has led us is to the inception of Collenbrook Community Meals. The last Saturday of each month (12-2), Collenbrook opens its doors to the community and serves a full meal. All are welcome! It is free to everyone.
For years, this mission has grown from feeding a small group to serving over 100 people most months. If you know anyone who can benefit from the food and/or fellowship, please spread the word. Volunteers, food contributions, and monetary donations are always welcomed.

Collenbrook collects non-perishable food items on a continual basis and delivers these donations to Chester Eastside. Recently, FoodtoDonate.com partnered us with a Wawa in Morton that freezes their perishable food items and donates them to Collenbrook, which in turn divides those donations between Collenbrook and Chester Eastside.
Collenbrook also hosts an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, which is donated to either Chester Eastside or the Community Action Agency of Delaware County (CAADC).
In addition to food collections, Collenbrook also hosts “Fight Hunger Forecast,” a used books cart for cash donations located in our Fellowship Hall. Take a book, leave a donation! The books are donated through members and friends and help us to raise even more funding for an area that needs it so desperately, Chester Eastside.
